Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Eisa, Secretary General, Muslim World League visited Islamic Research Institute (IRI) during his visit to International Islamic University Faisal Masjid Campus.
In his visit, Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Eisa laid down the foundation stone of Dr. Ishtiaq Hussain Qureshi Conference Hall along with Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, President IIUI Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Drawieesh and DG IRI Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq. This Conference Hall has been named after to pay tribute to the first Education Minister of Pakistan who was instrumental in placing one article related to Islamic Research Institute in 1956 Constitution of Pakistan. He also served as first Director of the Institute after its formal establishment.
HE Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Eisa was also awarded first ever “IRI Award for Service to State and Society” by Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Drawieesh President IIUI in recognition of his long standing services to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular and Muslim Ummah in general and for his untiring efforts to promote tolerance and moderation in Muslim societies and to eradicate extremism and terrorism. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri were also present on this occasion. Secretary General MWL also visited IRI Historical Gallery and wrote his comments in the guests’ book.
